The admission to the fifteen All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is taken through the AIIMS MBBS 2019 entrance exam. AIIMS is considered to be the most coveted Institute for which the number of aspirants taking the entrance exam goes up to 3 lakh. AIIMS, New Delhi is the responsible body for holding the admission process each year. AIIMS offers admission to a total of 1,207 MBBS seats available across fifteen AIIMS – New Delhi, Rishikesh, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Guntur, Nagpur, Kalyani, Raebareli, Gorakhpur and Bathinda.

AIIMS stands for All India Institute for Medical Sciences ,whereas NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, established under an act of parliament and recognized as an institution of national importance, conducts an entrance examination for admission of students to MBBS courses. This exam, popularly known as AIIMS MBBS, offers admissions to 707 seats spread across seven AIIMS institutions in the country, namely AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Raipur and AIIMS Rishikesh.
Exam centres reduced – This year, the AIIMS exam cities have been reduced to a total of 151 cities across India. Bahadurgarh (Haryana), Baramullah (Jammu and Kashmir) and Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) have not been included in the list of AIIMS MBBS exam cities 2019. Also, the city of Naharlagun in the state of Arunachal Pradesh has been replaced by Itanagar. Last year, the exam was held in 154 major cities of the country.
100 MBBS seats in AIIMS Nagpur and Guntur – The authority has added 50 MBBS seats each in AIIMS Guntur and AIIMS Nagpur
Increase in Seat Intake- With the commencement of final registration process, AIIMS, New Delhi has released the total number of seats offered. Through AIIMS MBBS, a total of 1,207 MBBS seats will be offered in 9 AIIMS Institutes.
AIIMS login for registration extended – The AIIMS application form last date was extended till January 14.
Change in Eligibility Criteria for PwD candidates – The minimum marks required to become eligible to take AIIMS MBBS 2019 in Class 12 in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology is 45%. Earlier, the minimum required percentage is 50%.
Two new AIIMS Institutes- For the academic session 2019-20, two new AIIMS are introduced located in Guntur and Nagpur making a total of 11 institutes across India.
Change in AIIMS application process- The AIIMS MBBS application form 2019 can be filled through PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) facility. As per the PAAR facility, the application process will involve two major steps – Basic Registration and Final Registration. The Basic Registration required submission of basic details. In the Final Registration, the candidates need to submit qualification details, application fee, and exam city choice.
AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam centres are the venue where the examination will be held. AIIMS, New Delhi has released the list of exam cities of AIIMS MBBS 2019. This year, two exam cities has been reduced making it a total of 151 cities across India. Bahadurgarh (Haryana), Baramullah (Jammu and Kashmir) and Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) has been deleted from the list of exam cities. The selection of test centres must be done by applicants while filling the application form as per their preferences and convenience. Aspirants can select any one preference of exam centres. The selection of exam centres will be done on the basis of availability of seats, while the selection will be done on the first-come-first-served basis. The details of allotted AIIMS MBBS exam centres 2019 will be mentioned in the admit card along with the reporting time.
The 100 (Hundred) seats for Indian Nationals and 7 (Seven) seats for (Foreign Nationals) are available for admission to MBBS course. Out of these, 15 (fifteen) seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes, 8 (eight) seats are reserved for the Scheduled Tribes, 27 (twenty Seven) seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes and 50 (fifty) seats for General Category for Indian Nationals. A 5% reservation for Person with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) as per provision of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 shall be provided on horizontal basis, amongst the seats available subject to evaluation by the Medical Board of the Institute.
In the eight AIIMS (viz: Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur,Rishikesh, Mangalagiri and Nagpur) with intake of 100 students each and 50 students each in six new AIIMS Bathinda, Gorakhpur, Kalyani, Rae Bareli, Deogarh & Telangana with reservation policy followed by 7.5% ST, 15% SC and 27% OBC, for Indian Nationals. A 5% reservation for Person with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) as per provision of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 shall be provided on horizontal basis, in the seats available. AIIMS (UG) 2019 will be an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) Examination.

As per the AIIMS MBBS 2019 Exam Pattern, the question paper contains 200 multiple choice questions from the science section which includes Physics, Biology and Chemistry and two additional sections- General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical Thinking. AIIMS, New Delhi has not prescribed a syllabus for the entrance exam but it has been clarified that the question paper is of Class 12 level. The available language medium for AIIMS MBBS question paper 2019 is English or Hindi and candidates will receive the test paper in that medium which they have opted in the AIIMS MBBS application form. The total duration of AIIMS MBBS exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The marking scheme of AIIMS MBBS 2019 involves negative marking wherein candidates will be given 1 mark for each correct answer and 1/3 marks will be subtracted from the total score for each wrong answer. No marks will be granted for the questions which are marked under review by the candidates or have been left unattempted. As the exam is conducted in four shifts, there will be a normalization procedure involved which is based on the percentile.

Candidates must have attained an age of 17 years as on December 31, 2019. Also, aspirants born on or after January 02, 2003 will not be eligible to apply for AIIMS MBBS 2019
Yes it is necessary to take Biology as main subject to appear for AIIMS.
